1. Born in plena Spring

It was not too chilly then

that delicious day.

2. Eyes closed, button nose

Lips as red as cherry pie

Can I hold her now?

3. Eyes of blue, brown hair

Wrinkly skin, tight little fists

Such a cutie pie!

4. Kids are not happy

To be outside their mum’s womb

But are they ever?

5. You sleep lots except

When it is the dead of night

And your mum wants rest

6. Nursing is easy

You enjoy your liquid meals

Then you burp them up

7. Then you poo them out

It’s no fun changing nappies

And they are smelly.

8. But you are well-loved

Make no mistake my sweet child

Life is so good now
